A Certain Fury Guided Me is a reflection on freedom of movement, memory, and identity construction processes in the context of contemporary migration narratives.
Inspired by the metaphor of the world as an archipelago, proposed by Martiniquan philosopher Édouard Glissant, I use photography, text, archive, and collage to create a visual essay where I explore the tensions, relations and transformations arising from my displacements.
A Certain Fury Guided Me is realised as a 56-page photobook, edited between 2018 and 2024, with images produced across Barcelona, Lisbon, Taipei, and São Tomé.
